OC Beach & Boardwalk

New event features military aircraft demonstrations and flyovers, along with civilian aerobatic performances from noon to 3 p.m. each day. The red, white and blue jets of the US Jet aerobatic team, one of only two civilian aerobatic jet teams in the country, and the black and gold parachutes of US Army Golden Knights will fill the sky over the beach. The US Air Force reserve bi-plane will also perform at the event. Pilot Ed Hamill will dazzle spectators with a thrilling aerobatic show of loops, rolls and climbs. Interactive displays and exhibits will be open on the streets surrounding the show center, located near 16th Street on the Boardwalk. In conjunction with the Air Show, on Monday, June 9th, the OC Municipal Airport will host an open house, where aircraft can be viewed up close. Spectators may see the events free on the beach, or premium viewing opportunities and hospitality chalets between 14th and 17th streets are available for a fee.
